To avoid hardships from the present provisions, make enough internal records of posting the ITR.
If receipt is still pending, due to any reason; you should re-post the same and keep at record.
To further avoid such hardships; file returns with Digital Signature.
To government has made such provisions only to enhance the use of Digital Signature so that in future unwanted persons do not file the return by forge signature.

they will mention the e-filing acknowledgement number in that mail. you could check the e-filing ack number with your customers copy and resend it income tax at bangalore. even i also got the mail like that.
Suggestion: if you file much, then use your own email id and password. once you get the softcopy, immediately write the user id and password with all details. you may keep that copy with you. In future if you get the query from IT depts, that time its very easy to identify. This is what im maintaining. this is my point of view. If you have other follow up pls let me know. thanks

The mail also contain middle four letter of PAN Number. If u have a record of pan u can easily trace the return for which ITR V is not recd. by CPC Dept.
