I am salaried person.
If I am getting dividends from MF do I need to file my IT returns using ITR 1 or ITR 2?

12 July 2013 Yo need to file Income Tax Return in ITR 2. You will have to show the details of Dividend in EI (Exempted Income) Sheet.

12 July 2013 Thanks Sanjay..

I am a salaried person. Also, I have a loaned property, in another city, in the joint name along with my wife.

The form 16 I got from my company has the loan interest deducted based on actual interest paid since I do not reside in the property and shown as self occupied.

In ITR 2, If I am showing this property as self occupied, can there be a query as the place where I reside and the place of the loaned property are different?

Also, when is deemed rent taken into account?

12 July 2013 I Think ITR 1 if Dividend is less than 5000 otherwise ITR - 2.
