I have received material from out of state from abc company but due to rejection it was returned to their local office within state. My query is whether vat is chargeable under PVAT act for material returned to the local office within state.

No, but take a confirmation from supplier about this and enclosed that with return note. please be noted goods return should be within stipulated period define under Act.
