Hello friends, I have got an sms that the Academy of Commerce (AOC) has launched an IFRS Training Programme. They say they have a standardised module, experienced team of faculties and prominent names in the advisory board. Fees - 18,000. Should i go for it ?

Well. if its realating to IFRS than you should definately go for it. IN few years each company is going to report as per IFRS and if you have due knowledge than you are in great demand. SO YES. But i am not aware of the course of AOC. ( also its a risk of 18k INR). inquire more about it. You can also check ICAI site.( and register for the IFRS course. atleast its approved and of importance in India... Certificate will matter alot in India...

Agree. CIFRS form ICAI will have more value. Check out the following link. http://www.icai.org/post.html?post_id=3562&c_id=266
Also, for your information Big 4 Companies like E&Y , Deloitte are also providing the IFRS certification. They are little bit expensive but are also good.
