26 December 2013 IS NON PRACTISING ALLOWANCE given to doctors in govermnet hospitals included in calculating the HRA exemption form the gross salary
rent paid actual-10 % of BASIC+DA+NPA?

26 December 2013 NO IT HAS NO ANY RELATION WITH HRA.NON PRACTISING ALLOWANCE IS FULLY TAXABLE.

07 January 2014 have to disagree a bit. the question is not about taxability of NPA (that is anyways taxable).

The question of whether or not it is to be included in the computation of HRA, you need to refer to Finance Ministry Office Memorandum clearly specifying that NPA is to be included as normal pay for computation of all allowances and retirement benefits.
