I am having both exempted as well as taxable supply. But my taxable supply is fever due to which i am eligible for only small percentage of input credit. So if i dont want to take any amount of credit because in that case my accounting would be easier can it be possible?

Yes, it is possible to forgo claiming Input Tax Credit (ITC) on exempt and taxable supplies, but there are certain considerations and steps you need to follow to ensure compliance with GST regulations. Here's how you can handle this situation:
### **1. Understanding the Option to Waive ITC**
As per GST law, businesses have the option to forgo ITC on taxable supplies. This means you can choose not to claim ITC if you find it easier for your accounting or compliance processes. This can simplify your accounting and GST filing but requires a clear understanding of how it affects your business.
### **2. Implications of Waiving ITC**
- **No Credit Against Tax Liability:** By not claiming ITC, you will not be able to offset your GST liability on taxable supplies with input taxes paid on purchases. - **Higher Tax Costs:** You will bear the full GST cost on your inputs, which might increase your overall tax burden. - **Simplified Compliance:** This approach can simplify your accounting and GST compliance if managing ITC is cumbersome for you.
### **3. Steps to Waive ITC**
1. **Declare ITC Waiver Option:** - Ensure you clearly decide and document your choice to forgo ITC for your business.
2. **Maintain Proper Records:** - Keep detailed records of all your transactions, including purchases and sales, even if you are not claiming ITC.
3. **GST Returns Filing:** - Continue filing GST returns accurately. In your GSTR-3B, you would report the full GST paid on inputs as part of your expenses, without claiming it as ITC. - Ensure that your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings reflect the correct details for the taxable supplies you are making and GST paid on them.
4. **Adjustments for Exempt Supplies:** - If you make exempt supplies, ensure that you correctly handle the proportion of input tax that pertains to exempt supplies as per Rule 42 and Rule 43 of the CGST Rules, 2017.
### **4. Compliance and Legal Provisions**
- **Section 16 of CGST Act, 2017:** This section covers the eligibility and conditions for claiming ITC. By choosing not to claim ITC, you are effectively opting out of the benefits under this section.
- **Rule 42 & 43 of CGST Rules, 2017:** These rules deal with the reversal of ITC when inputs are used for both taxable and exempt supplies. If you are not claiming ITC at all, these rules might be less relevant but understanding them helps in case of mixed supplies.
### **5. Consult a Tax Professional**
- **Professional Advice:** It's advisable to consult with a GST professional or tax consultant to ensure that waiving ITC aligns with your business strategy and complies with all GST regulations. They can also help you understand the financial implications and ensure that all compliance aspects are correctly managed.
### **In Summary:**
You can choose not to claim ITC, simplifying your accounting and compliance processes. However, be aware of the financial implications, such as higher costs due to non-offsetting of input taxes. Ensure proper documentation and accurate filing of GST returns. Consulting a tax professional can provide additional clarity and assist with the transition.
