the gratuity is taxable on receipt basis or it is taxable from the date of retirement
my friend was retired on 20 /4/10 and he doesn't received the gratuity till now and new exemption limit is their now of 10 lakes so he can claim the new exemption limit of Rs 10 lacks
if he receive the gratuity amount tomorrow what will be the exemption limit
