I paid ST as on 23/07/2014. However due to shifting of the office, i lost the challan of the payment made. I want to file Service tax return for which i will be requiring the challan copy.
How to get the same online? Is there any such procedure/link just as we get Form 26AS for knowing TDS updates?

Dear Author, There are 2 / 3 choices for getting the details of service tax paid challans. (1) Ask the bank your challan nmbr generated on that date and search the same on the flg link by giving your bank's BSR code, date of pmt, challan nmbr & challan amt. If the site shown amount matched. take a printout of the same and furnish those details in your ST-3 return while filing the same. This one is best where there is no inconvenience to anybody. For searching the challans, link is: https://onlineservices.cbec-easiest.gov.in/csi/servlet/ExciseQuery or visit ACES website then click "status of the challan" in highlighs column (2) Request concerned bank to give duplicate challan by furnishing them full details of your payment. (3) You may request your range officer also to give the challan payment details on your ST Nmbr from the ACES website.
I also wanted to know that how a huge balance of cash earned by a medical practitioner from his daily practice be reduced? i admit he's honest and regular tax payer. If he pays salaries to his staff below Rs 10000 to each employee each month, would it attract Sec 40A(3) of I.T.Act 1961??
