A PERSON CAN APPROACH THE SUPREME COURT DIRECTLY IF:-

(1)ANY OF HIS RIGHT IS VIOLATED ;

(2)ANY OF HIS FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS IS VIOLATED.

04 November 2010 any person cannot approch supreme court directly , only after deprevied by the lower courts one can appeal to superem court, simple if we can apprach supreme court directly why shud we have district, state high courts.

understand like this
if any right is violated a person has to move to the court of lowest jurisdiction.
But if any fundamental right is violated article 32 gives remedy to move to the SC directly.
AS far as related to your II part of querry about "According to" definitions or explanation specially for constitution must be adduced from the explanation given by Judges of supreme court and not according to any second person.
you can quote "J.C.Johri P 109 Indian consitution and politics" or "B.P.Gajendragadkar P.60-62 Indian constitution"
