If you are just efiling your return from other place without changing your address the efiling can be done without any need to change your address
But If you have changed your address from one state to the other you must get your address changed in the pan base data of the Income Tax Department through form 49A for the right jurisdiction.
No need to attach any letter or proof of address with the return of Income evan if mannual return is filed since the ITR forms are annexure less forms.
Notice of assessment will be received at the place where your original jurisdiction lies i.e assessment will be done by that A.O only within whose jurisdiction you are filing your return.

AMIT JI I HAVE HAD APPLIED FOR CORRECTION IN ADDRESS THROUGH FORM 49A. I RECEIVED NEW PAN CARD. BUT THE WEBSITE IS SHOWING MY CIRCLE IN THE EARLIER ADDRESS i.e., BHUBANESHWAR. NOW I HAVE FILED MY RETURN FROM KOLKATA. IF MY FILE IS SELECTED FOR SCRUTINY WHERE WILL ASSESSMENT BE MADE, IN BBSR OR IN KOLKATA.

Dear Sanjay Ji, your assessment will be made at kotkata. Since you have changed your address. There may be a technical fault if the website is still showing your circle at the earlier address. But the factual position cannot be denied that your jurisdiction has got changed
You will be covered under the jurisdiction of Department at Kolkata if you are filing your return by showing your kolkata address.
