One charitable trust raises a debit note towards the faculty time spent by its faculty members to take sessions/lectures in an another educational institution (a Trust). Will this attract service tax ?
Dear Sir : Both are Charitable Trusts for 'Education & Research'. They are registered with ITO u/s 12a. They are non-profit organisations. Is service-tax applicable ?

Dear Sir- my question is whether S-tax is applicable if both the Charitable trusts have 'no-profit' objective & they are registered u/s 12A of I-Tax Act. Could you please clarify about the service-tax applicability?

It doesnot matter whether both the trusts are non- profit. After Fin Act 2010, service provider trust need to charge service tax to service receiving trust.
