12 July 2013 What is the different between face value of the share and paid up value of share

12 July 2013 face value is the nominal value of the sahre say rs. 10..that means the the value as per is RS>10

The co may not ask the investors to pay the whole amount (Rs. 10 ) in one go. suppose the co has asked the investors to pay rs. 5 till date and rs. 5 has been paid .
This is called paid up value

if the co. asks to pay balance rs. 5 later an d the same is paid by investors. the total paid up value equals the face value i.e rs. 10

hope it is helpful for you

12 July 2013 Hi

Face Value is the value at which the company will price the share for example a company may issue shares of face value Rs 10.

The paid up value is the actual amount paid by the shareholder for one share.

For example, Face value is Rs. 10, Rs 2 on application Rs 2 on allotment hence the paid up value is Rs 4 per share.

The Difference money Rs. 6 is called unpaid up value.
