Dear,
One widow lady sold own house(Floor) and re-invested the same in buying new residential house in the name of her major daughter. Can she claim exemption u/s 54.
All transaction are done within time.

In my opinion yes as there are many judgments where the Courts have held that if all other conditions are satisfied than new house may be purchased in the name of family member and exemption should not be denied.
