21 July 2024 The CS Executive Programme consists of two modules, each with its own set of subjects. Here’s a detailed overview of the procedure and structure of the Executive Module under the Company Secretary course:

### Structure of CS Executive Programme:

#### Module 1:
1. **Company Law (Paper 1)**:
- Covers the provisions of the Companies Act, Memorandum and Articles of Association, Meetings of Board and its Powers, Winding Up, etc.

2. **Cost and Management Accounting (Paper 2)**:
- Includes Cost Concepts, Cost Accounting Systems, Budgeting, Standard Costing, Marginal Costing, Variance Analysis, Decision Making, etc.

3. **Economic and Commercial Laws (Paper 3)**:
- Covers Indian Contract Act, Sale of Goods Act, Competition Act, Consumer Protection Act, Partnership Act, Limited Liability Partnership Act, etc.

4. **Tax Laws (Paper 4)**:
- Basics of Income Tax, Central Excise Duty, Customs Duty, Service Tax, VAT, GST (Goods and Services Tax), etc.

#### Module 2:
1. **Company Accounts and Auditing Practices (Paper 5)**:
- Covers Preparation of Financial Statements, Accounting Standards, Corporate Accounting, Auditing Concepts and Practices, Internal Audit, etc.

2. **Capital Markets and Securities Laws (Paper 6)**:
- Includes SEBI Act, Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, Listing and Delisting of Securities, Mutual Funds, Insider Trading, etc.

3. **Industrial, Labour and General Laws (Paper 7)**:
- Covers Industrial and Labour Laws such as Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Environmental Laws, Companies Act, etc.

### Procedure of CS Executive Module:

1. **Registration**:
- Register with ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) for the Executive Programme.
- Complete the specified period of coaching (if applicable).

2. **Examination**:
- Examinations are conducted twice a year, in June and December.
- Eligible candidates need to fill the exam form and submit it along with the required fees before the specified deadline.

3. **Study Material**:
- Study material is provided by ICSI and includes textbooks, practice manuals, and past exam papers.
- Self-study or coaching classes are recommended for comprehensive preparation.

4. **Examination Pattern**:
- Each paper is of 100 marks and is divided into two parts: Part A (50 marks) and Part B (50 marks).
