Excess salary recovered by employer-tax implications?

18 May 2015 I would like to know what will be the tax implications for this-

Excess Salary for Amounting to Rs.18000 for the year 2013-2014 has been recovered in the month may 2015 by the employer.Tax on the total Income including the amount of Rs. 18000 has already been paid.

Now,Can i revise the return by showing less salary income ,that is, subtracting 18000 from the total salary amount?.If so,whether i will get the refund for the difference amount.and whether i will receive any Notice or intimation from the tax authorities?

19 May 2015 No , you cannot revise return now due to two reasons :

1. The return of FY 2013-14 was to be filed on-line upto 31 July 14 OR manually upto 31ST mARCH 2015. Both dates are over now.

2. IF REFUND HAS BEEN GIVEN BY IT DEPARTMENT , THEN NO CHANCE TO REVISE.

Now you can reduce 18000 from your total salary of FY 15-16 in IT return.

REGARDS

22 May 2015 Sir,i honour your advice
No refund has been granted by the department as i filed the return inclusive of that amount.

I will Reduce Rs.18000 from The salary of F.Y 2015-16,when i file the return next year.

can you provide me any reference to any section,Rule or Case law?i have searched a lot for this query, Didn't find any on how to treat the excess salary recovered
