No, you can't carry forward excess marks to 2nd group, because this rule applicable when both groups attempted and cleared in single attempt

okkk...u mean 2 say.. if hv filed for grp 1 n hv secured 60 in a/c bt didnt clrd d grp....
in nxt ampt,me filed for both grp n secured 220(includin dat 60 in a/c)...wil dat exces 20 mrk help me in agregate of 2nd grp..??? means if i scored 180 in grp 2,den dat 20 wl nt help me?????

Yes in this case, the marks will be aggregated and the excess scored in one group shall be used to set off the deficiency in the other group.
