22 October 2012 What about your views if EPF Act is applicable on 10 employees instead of 20? Its beneficial or not?

What I feel not to have any limit on employee count..

But there is limit i guess because admin cost would be high for PF.

As per EPF Act, 1952, the provision of section such Act will not apply to establishment employing less than twenty persons.

Do you know how much idle money is lying with PF dept idle, neither employee is aware that it their monet nor PF dept tried contacting employee to collect the same.

And after some time they stop paying Interest on the deposits.

I know that as per the provision this is applicable when 20 or more person employed in any establishment..But here i want to know your opinion if the act is applicable on 10 instead of 20..

I know that some employees are not aware the withdrawing procedure of epf but here question is not that howmuch money is lying idle in PF Account?
Dear i want to know your opinion and why are you said that epf should not applicable on 10 people? only your opinion Sir..

How can you say that this is the expense for the company?
It's the facility which is given by the company to employee for more encourage his work..
Its the beneficial for company because employee is motivate with regards your work...
If you said this is expense than salary is also expense sir..

If it is beneficial to employee above 10, then why an individial should deprive of benefit simply because no. of employee is belowe threshhold limit.
