Whenever we registered for efiling we used to give our (CA's) phone number and mail id in the it site. Now they insist on client's id and mobile number. A CA's number can be listed only for a maximum of 4 assessees. Now for every client we will have to give a mobile number and a email id without which site does not allow us to proceed.
We cannot even opt out of this process as verification is mandatory. This will delay the filing of returns this year. There are many instances where the client does not have a mail id and or a mobile. Has any representation been made to the Government in this regard? Is there any way out of this?
