Just pay the amount through ITNS 281.
No need to revise the return. Just write a letter in response to the demand notice intimating that payment has been made and attach the copy of the challan.

Little correction in this regard Mr.Sanjay sir. When Notices issued by the TDS ITO we followed the above practice. But when Demand Notices serviced by TDSCPC TRACES, we have to file Correction ETDS return reporting the remittance of Demand. I have consulted with TRACES in this regard and they have told as above. If any possible way, experts may share in this regard. Because practically it is difficult to revise all query related ETDS returns. It is burden and expensive.

We will try the same sir. One more important query Sanjay sir. What about the 234E penalty? Because in FY 2012-13 more Non-Government TAN holding Assessees and maximum all TAN holding Govt Assessees are not filed their ETDS Returns in the stipulated time. (This year 1st Quarter also.) Govt organisations (like schools, DEO, AEEO offices even Treasury Offices) dont have any knowledge about ETDS. They told that they have remitted their IT from their salary itself. This is their concept. What will be the ITD stand in this regard. Is there any possibility to waive 234E penalty for FY 2012-13? Non-Government TAN holding Assessees highly oppose this daily Rs.200 penalty.
