Duty Drawback(Rejected MAterial)

08 January 2009 We are a MNC unit; we have imported material in month of March and July’08.
Now we found some quantity are rejected. now we want to send material to our supplier

Query:
1.Can we go for Duty Drawback scheme at
the time of Re-Exportation?
2.Could you please guide me on Duty
Drawback procedures?
3.Can we Re-Export part material under
Duty Drawback Scheme.
4.What is document we want to submit to
custom at time of Re-Exportation?
5.Shell we used same Packing for export.

08 January 2009 Yes, you can claim duty drawback.
Even the part material sent under claim of duty drawback.
The primary thing required to be establish that the material which is being re exported is the same which was imported. To establish this thing, description of material in bill of entry which was filed at the time of importation and description in shipping bill etc. match. If the return is to being done to the same supplier, a communication from the supplier that he is ready to accept the material will also establish the case.
Procedure you have to follow is that you have to file a drawback shipping bill at the time of export.
