Checklist of Documents required for Sales Tax Registration (TIN) in Delhi
Application to be filed in form DVAT 4 with a prescribed fee of Rs. 500/-. PAN (Permanent Account Number) of the Applicant Proof of identity of authorized signatory signing the Registration Application Form Proof of ownership of principle place of business Proof of incorporation of the applicant dealer i.e. Partnership Deed in case of Partnership firm Certificate of Incorporation, MOA and AOA in case of Company Certificate of registration, memorandum and articles in case of Society and Trust Two Self Addressed Envelopes Surety Bond of Rs 100,000/- (Which can be in the form of FDR, Bank Guarantee, Post Office cash certificates, bonds, debentures, dealers surety or mortgage of immovable property).
NOTE : Amount of security can be reduced by the amount given in bracket in front of the documents if submitted with DVAT 04 but up to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- Copy of the last paid electricity bill (10,000) Copy of the last paid telephone bill (5,000) Pan of the applicant (10,000) Proof of the resident of proprietor (30,000) Proof of ownership of principal place of business (20,000) Notarized copy of passport of proprietor (10,000)

A dealer must apply for registration within 30 days from the date on which it becomes mandatory for him to get itself registered with the department by making an application in the prescribed DVAT 04 Form. In case of more than one place of business within Delhi, the Dealer needs to nominate any one such branch or place as its principal place of business and it is also necessary to mention all premises in the registration application.
Documents required for Delhi Value Added Tax
1. If dealer is liable for registration due to becoming liable to pay tax under CST:
a) First Purchases Bill –from Vendor having Sales Tax no.
b) First Inter-state Sale Bill
c) Copy of Courier Receipt/ Transport Receipt (GR/RR)
d) Bank Statement
e) Photocopy of the draft/ cheque received
2. Proof of Incorporation of the Co., Partnership deed etc. in cases of constitutions other than proprietary
3. Sale Deed / Power of Attorney and Rent Deed and Rent Receipt of the premises
4. No Objection Certificate from Owner
5. Water/ Electricity Bill/ House Tax Receipt
6. Two Photographs of Proprietor/Directors/Partners
7. Copy of PAN of Firm/Partner/Company/ Directors
8. Copy of Election I.D./ Driving License / Passport
9. Name of the Products for Sale & Purchases
10. One Cancelled Cheque
11. D-VAT-04 Form for Local (Delhi –VAT) and Form-A For Central Sales Tax
12. Registration Fee of Rs 500 in the form of Court Fee stamps and a fee of Rs 25 under CST in the form of court stamps.
13. Income Tax Return of Proprietor/Directors/ Partners
14. Registration Fee of Rs 500 in the form of Court Fee stamps and a fee of Rs 25 under CST in the form of court stamps.
15. Form-DVAT-12 for SURETY (Local surety Bond)
OTHER PAPERS:

Amount of Security
Dealer at the time of registration is required to furnish a security for an amount not exceeding Rs 1,00,000/- which may be reduced by the following amount:
