14 October 2014 As the world is getting 'Automatic' with the growth of technology, there will be need of Information Technology auditor.
Although CISA is cosiderd best for it but in india ICAI also offer DISA for the same.
But my doubt is whether a chartered accountant or any other from Non IT background can become IS auditor by just taking a certificate. Isn't understanding of technology is required.

DISA is accepted majorly india though it should not be but CISA has international recognition.

Yes, If by passing CA/CS/CMS exams you become CA/CS/CMS, you become IS auditor by passing CISA exam.
