i have deposited a tds challan online. dut to mistake it has been deposited in section 94H instead of 92B. how can i rectify above mistake.
Correction Mechanism for TDS Challan depends on the type of payment i.e., whether it is paid through physical challan or through online payment.
If it is through physical challan, then you may approach you bank where you have paid the challan within 3 months from the date of payment with a request letter to rectify the same.
If it is paid through Online Payment then you have to approach your assessing officer for correction with the request letter.
