One of my Clients which is a Bank has asked me to verify the ITR return of one of its Clients ( who is availing loan). In other words the Bank wants to know whether the return that has been filed is genuine or not.
In reply I have told the bank that if the return is 'e-filed', then we can find out whether the same has been submitted and whether the same has been processed by CPC or not. Regarding the actual return submitted, the same can only be found out if we have the userid and password of the assessee, since the IT Dept. will not entertain queries from any other person.
The bank however told me that "Other Chartered Accountants" are doing it and verifying the ITR is genuine.
I need help as to how this is being done. Is there any way I can get copy of ITR V of another assessee online, without knowing the password/userid of the concerned assessee??

Thanks siddharth. I already did that But is there any way i can actually view the return or the acknowledgement that has been submitted?
Basically the bank wants to ensure that the acknowledgement copy submitted to them by the borrower is not fake. So they want to know whether the one submitted to the bank and the one submitted to IT authorities are the same.
