ONE OF MY CLIENT IS RUNNINNG A COMMERCIAL TRA.INING CENTRE WHO IS A FRANCHISE OF A STATE OWNED CORPORATION. THE GOVT COPRN. , WHICH AS A GOVERNMENT POLICY PROVIDES COACHING IN BASIC OF COMPUTERS TO RURAL PEOPLE IDENTIFIED BY THE GRAM PANCHAYAT OF THE SELECTED VILLAGE. THE GOVT. COPRN. HAS IN TURN IMPARTS TRAINING PROGRAM THROUGH ITS FRANCHISE. THE FRANCHISE IS IMPARTS TRAINING ON BEHALF OF GOVT. CORPN. AND HE GETS AN AMOUNT FOR THE SAME FROM THE GOVT. CORPN. WHICH DOES NOT INCULDE SERVICE TAX. IN THIS CASE WHETHER MY CLIENT IS LIABLE FOR SERVICE TAX AS A COMMMERCIAL TRAINING CENTRE. KINDLY ADVISE ITS URGENT
