Change of office address

24 December 2008 Dear sir

We have a propritor concern.We are depositing TDS regularly and mentioning our old office address on challan as we are now shifted to other place in the same city.wheter we have to put our new office address on challan or not as we have no working in our old office..if yes then we have to inform taxation authority regarding address or not??
The category of deductor is individual..

24 December 2008 INTIMATE THE TDS AUTHORITIES ABOUT YOUR CHANGE OF ADDRESS & ALSO DATE OF CHANGE & THEN ONWARDS PUT YOUR NEW ADDRESS ON THE CHALLAN & CERTIFICATES ISSUED

24 December 2008 thanx sir, but sir we are mentioning our old office address from last year on challan.then plz tell me is it make any difference to put old office address on challan after shifting to new one?? means is there any legal consequence or not?? if yes then what is that?? also we put our new office address on all certificate which we had already issued..
also tell me the proper authority to whom we have to inform regarding our new address??


26 December 2008 You can put your new address in the challan it has no consequences

the address mentioned there is only address for comunication
incase of wrong mentioning of TAN number..
they contact you in that address or telephone number mentioned in it...

tax you paid is credited to your tan account only by using TAN and verifying your name...

It Advisable to Mention your New Adress in the Challan Even you have not Intimated that to the Department
