dear sir, one of the our client, pays rent for the period apr 2010 to mar 2011 in this july,2011 including service tax and he submitted returns on time to the department without claiming service tax on rent because he not paid last year. he wants to claim full amount on this year. this is correct or not plz replay me as early as possible

As long as the premises is used for provding taxxable services or manufacturing excisable goods the same can be claimed, even though it is delayed.
