Capital gain when inherited propoerty is sold by executor

28 January 2013 A property is inherited by an Non resident. On death of the said non resident the property is sold by the executor. In whose hand capital gain will be charged.

28 January 2013 The Income Tax Department can hold the hands of the executor only in a situation where the non resident is non-existent also.
