I plan to sell a flat that I currently own, pay off the loan, invest the remaining amount for a year or two, before purchasing another flat.

Dear Sir, In case of capital gain you have to construct or purchase residential property within a period of two year before or three year after the date of action. Otherwise you have to deposit the capital gain in bank within due date of filing of your returns. Thanks
