08 March 2013 Sir.
suppose i am getting 650000 p.a from my employer having multiple branches across india.
My employer is public company other than ca firms.
In order to avoid TDS liability
Can I show Salary in parts received from 2 companies.
Or I show as professional fees?
Or Can i show on contract basis? So that tds liability get reduced.

08 March 2013 You can not show as salaries received from 2 companies, company may have multiple branches but it is a single entity for tax purpose. They would be reporting your income using a single TAN. Even if they have not deducted TDS, it would be your responsibility to club your income any pay taxes as per IT provisions.

You can not show as professional fees or as a contractor, there is an employer-employee relationship between you and company and you can not be a contractor or consultant in the same time.

08 March 2013 Agree with Mr. Mishra.
Its your income and you will have to pay TDS even if company doesn't deduct from your salary.
