A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT CAN PRACTICE AND OPEN OFFICE AT HIS RESIDENCE..DO CA REQUIRE TO TAKE COMMERCIAL ELECTRICITY CONNECTION AND PAY COMMERCIAL HOUSE TAX ON HIS RESIDENCE CUM OFFICE AREA IF HE PRACTICES AT OFFICE PART OF HIS RESIDENCE??????????/

You can open your office at your home without getting the residence commercialised..

Kindly guide whether we need to take separate commercial electricity connection or is it fine with existing residential connection, Further do we need to pay commercial house tax on part of home used as office,


16 June 2013 If you want to claim electricit as your expenses from business profession then u mite have to keep a track of electricity charges and so a new meter advisable
