I had given Rs.190000 as a booking amount to the builder by cheque and the builder had given me a receipt for the same. I want to know that, can I avail this amount as tax saving or not? Thanks and Regards.

You can claim the amount as deduction under section 80C , but upto a limit of maximum of 100000 Rs. NO OTHER DEDUCTIONS/EXEMPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN THIS CASE.
