CA itself is a career. But as said by Mr. Taranjit, B .com is considered in many cases as the eligibilty requirement in the courses you may pursue further.

If you qualify CA even without have B com, you will never suffer because CA qualification will set off the B Com and no effect at all...

but in sometime in PSU jobs, professional degree with graduation is compulsory. so it would be beneficial for u , if u apply for B.Com through IGNOU which has a special B.Com course for CA students
