Can a chartered accountant take any insurance agency

Dear
CA can take insurance agency only for the purpose of renewal of insurance policy. He can not take agency for issuing new policies.
The CA act, 1949 prohibit this.
If a CA take insurance agency for the purpose of issue new policies he will be held guilty for professional misconduct.
