13 June 2014 How to make provision for expense for the period march to april

ex: telephone expense period 9/3/2013-8/4/2013

provision in march 9/3/2013-31/3/2013 ?
provision in April for 1/4/2013-8/4/2013?

how to allocate?

13 June 2014 you can divide the bill amount by total no of days then allocate them according the dates u mentioned above ..............

13 June 2014 you can divided the bill amount according to day . rental according to days and calls amount according to dates.

23 July 2014 Provision for March to be made.
i.e. provision upto 31st march to be made only, when you will book actual bill, rest amount will automatically debited to expenses head.
Exp Dr 2300
To Ol 2300
(09th mar to 31th mar)
assuming bill comes for 3100 for 31 days.
on 8th apr
Exp dr 800 (for 1 apr to 8 apr)
Ol dr 2300
To party 3100
