Plssss... help me, One farmer land is aquired by govt. for road . He has no any income, either by any way. He has recieved Rs.1000000/- and TDS has deducted Rs. 100000/-. Under which Sec.he will get relief and can get refund. Sanjay.

Dont think TDS should be deducted on above. Ask them Govt. Authority under what section TDS has been deducted and obtain the TDS certificate. Only section i can think of is Sec 194J if treated as royalty or Sec 194I if treated as rent. But under both the cases ownership of land should stay with farmer.

you can download 26AS form from incometaxefilling site and according to the information given in it file a return. as per my knowledge on sale of land no tax deducted at source so please get confirm the situation and nature of transaction.registered on www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and get 26AS
