CA course is completely related to accounting, auditing, taxation, law. Your interests are completely different. If you can get articleship in any CA firm doing FAS, M&A work you may go there so that you gain relevant experience. Right now you should know why you are doing CA (it shouldn't be only for a degree), how CA will help you get the job you want (cos there are people from other professions competing and their studies/work ex maybe more relvant to those areas), how CA makes you a better candidate for that job than people from other professions. You can expect these questions in your interview. How your audit experience / CA degree or gold medal will help in - 1.Finding out new investment opportunities? 2.Risk Management of client's and firm's portfolio? 3. Predicting currency, interest rate, commodity and stock prices? etc etc Only if you can answer the above, you can be certain of getting a good start in a profession thats not related to CA. The answers to the above questions will show what you can give in terms of output and people are interested in knowing how your achievements/ranks/degrees/work experience will help them make money.
