This program is based on self-study and examinations. Speaking on this occasion, Alok Baptist senior territory manager, Mumbai said: “The students who pursue this programme will study approximately the same subjects in which they will be examined in the CA programme.”
Candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations and also the common proficiency test (CPT) examination of the CA Institute are eligible to enroll in the BCom (PAT) programme. This is a three-year course and has 18 subjects divided into nine groups of two subjects each.
The total fees payable for three years is Rs 3,300. While the first four groups of the BCom (PAT) programme are aligned with the subjects of CA professional competency examination (PCE), the remaining five groups are aligned with the subjects of the CA final examinations.
The council of the CA Institute granted general permission to all articled assistants to pursue graduation course concurrently with the CA programme. For instance, in the CA examination if a person fails in any one subject in the group, the candidate is required to reappear for the entire group examination.
