• Prepare journal batches and enter transactions into accounting system via QuickBooks or other systems
• Maintain accurate, organized, and complete filing (online) of all expense and revenue documentation
• Assist in timely closing of monthly books of accounts for all the IDinsight’s entities
• Assist in preparation and submission of monthly financial reports to the Finance Director and CFO within the defined timeframe
• Liaise with the Payments Specialist on maintenance and improvement of payment summary files
• Ensure Client invoices and Intercompany invoices are prepared in a timely manner
• Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with monthly payroll accounting
• Review bank statement to ensure all transactions have been recorded
• Support other day to day accounting operations and related tasks as and when required

Objectives of Role
The Accountant will be responsible for carrying out discrete activities that directly support IDinsight’s financial management and reporting systems in all the IDinsight’s offices. This position will report to and work with the Accounting Manager based in New Delhi and the Finance Consultant based remotely.
Responsibilities
The Accountant’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Accounting & Reporting

Statutory Compliance & Audit Support
• Coordinate with the third-party tax and compliance consultants for:
• Payroll computation & disbursement as per any country statutory deductions and T&C of the employment
• Statutory Compliance and timely deposit of TDS, Advance Tax, EPF, GST and other statutory dues and filing of returns wherever applicable
• Ensuring fulfillment of MCA, RBI etc. statutory compliances and timely preparing and filing of statutory returns
• Assist in coordinating with Statutory Auditors for Global and Regional Audits and ensuring timely resolution to all audit queries
Other Finance Activities
• Assist in developing business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Suggesting updates and improvements for accounting systems
• Other finance activities as and when required

Qualifications
We are seeking an exceptional professional with 2-5 years of work experience and ideally a demonstrated passion for international development. Candidates who fit the following criteria are strongly encouraged to apply:
• Degree in relevant discipline, such as Accounting or Business Administration
• 2-5 years of work experience in an accounting role
• Previous experience with QuickBooks a plus
• Willingness to learn and improve finance systems and processes
• Humility
• Ability and drive to work independently
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Language: English required
Compensation
Compensation will be competitive with comparable social sector roles, and commensurate with experience and track record.
