i hav cleared my PCC and now i want to know ' when can i appear for my ca final exams'. My training is going to end on 31st march'2011. Can i appear during the last six months of my training or only after the completion of my training.
Also tel me is it beneficial to go for the GMCS course.

Now, ur attempt is due on the basis of completion of articleship....
So, its MAY 2011
And dude, u got plenty of time befor ur FINALS attempt, so i would suggest u to go for GMCS right now only... coz thats beneficial and wont consume time... so go for it now only

bt i want to know what is the rule because i read somewhere that one can appear for ca final exams during the last six months of training.
In my case i can appear only in may'11 in both the cases even if it is last 6 months or completion of training.
Nd whether the 15 days of GMCS course are a part of articleship or not?????
Coz my ca is not going to give me leaves....
You have to complete 3.5 years of articles, not 6months before..so you can take in May 2011..actual it can do after your final exams..then you not needed leaves..

well students of pe2 are eligible to appear to appear in last 12 month of articleship but not for pcc and also gmcs are part of articleship
and vikrant you can appear in nov 10

as in my case i started training in may 07 so wen can i giv exams of ca as i cleared pcc in this attempt.

¨ A student who has passed Intermediate / Professional Education (Examination – II) / Professional Competence Course and is serving his last 12 months of articles is eligible to complete the course. The requirement of compulsory attendance in this course applies to all the Articled/ Audit Assistants: A student after being declared successful in the Final Examination under old or new scheme can be admitted as an associate member only after completion of the course on General Management and Communication Skills ¨ A student who completes Three Months’ Residential Programme in General Management, Personality Development and Communication Skills organized by the Board of Studies will not be required to undergo GMCS Course.

hey guys !!!!! i wanna know that my articleship of 3.5 yrs is ending on sept 2010 but i hv taken 3 mnths of excess leaves.... can i appear in nov 2010 final exam and cover those 3 mnths after the attempt or shd i give my attempt in may 2011 after covering that 3 mnths??? plz post ur replies????
Hi ashutosh, it is possible for u to give ur FINALS exams now.. dont worry... just ask ur boss for extension.., where u can pay those 3 months later on after ur exams....
