VAT rate for Iron and Steel

hello,

not sure - but to our knowledge the state governments are not allowed to change the vat rates of iron & steel along with some other items mentioned in the list. i do not have the specific details, but it seems that the central government forced chattisgarh government to roll back the increase in vat rate last year on iron & steel.

this is to my knowl;edge, still need others' input.
