pl read my blog how to crack ca xm. i got also failed in 2nd old final group

I appeared for IInd group and Scrore was 41, 64E, 42 and 47 total 194 whereas I was confident  both for costing and IDT for 55 +. But its really not good.

  In the first group, Subjects like MAFA and Law to be capitalised by scoring above sixty, wrt.... accounts and audit u see that u get passing marks.

 Never try to memorise the theory subjects, understand the concept and read it.

To be comfortable in theory subjects you have to go for multiple readings and not just twice / thrice.

In case of practical subjects- u have to work out lot of problems to get into the rhythm of solving the problems in examination environment.

IF would prefer the following materials for 1st group, I cleared my getting 218 marks in 1st group

MAFA - Ashim Kumar Jana - notes

Law - L Jayaraman

Auditing - Study material is the best

   Regarding the theory papers, i feel Jayaraman Sir notes are best for Law. for auditing, institute material is very sufficient.

Those of you who have not passed just by a few marks can apply for retotalling. Nothing wrong. In my case, I got 194 in second group final (i failed in costing -36 marks)when i appeared for the exams in May 2002. I applied for retotalling ,was awarded 6 marks in costing and cleared CA.

So nothing wrong in trying.

what r the books u r following these are more than sufficient. but for scoring mark u have to go for multiple reading both for law and auditing.

How Contradicting !

Naga Laxmi.... take ur own notes. and read those again and again. by notes, i do not mean 100 pages of stuff. I mean short and concise 30 odd pages for 1 subject. Only points. They will remind u of the whole thing. Try linking section numbers with the stuff of that section and try making a story line out of it in ur mind. It helps.

And before going for the exam, try writing one page... without looking in the book or the notes... whatever u remember of that subject.
