Hi Dear,
Definitely one individual can take the benefit of 80C in case of Tution fees of their children. But he can claim only tution fee not other fees like sport fee, admission fee etc.
Thanks,

Tution fee means the fee paid to school for the purpose of providing education. It does not include admission fee and donation paid to achool. It is claimed as deduction when it is paid for the children.

Tution Fee means only paid for children (Dependents). You can't claim your own tution Fee.

Dear Narendra, It is not necessary that the children should be dependent !is it? Please examine the Section 80C(4)c) again.
Child may or may not be dependent. For example a child cine artist goes to school gets money for his acting ,it is his own income and he is not dependent so far as finance is concerned, still his tuition fees can be claimed by his either father or mother.
