Response to defective return notice in case of 139(8A)

I had filed updated return for AY 2024-25 and received defective return notice. I have generated revised json file but while attaching the json file in submit response tab 'Updated Return needs to be submitted along with Verification as per Rule 12AC.' this error is shown. How do I submit the response? Do i have to attach here uploaded everified json ? But now I cannot file the itr again as per third proviso to Section 139(8A). Pl guide.
