Encrypt your data, drives, and portable/flaash drives using bit locker encryption.

Windows 7 has taken security even farther with its BitLocker To Go feature, which allows you to encrypt removable USB devices and external disks in addition to normal drive encryption.

To enable BitLocker or BitLocker To Go, right click the drive in Windows Explorer and select “Turn on BitLocker”

Lock the software from running using Applocker.

AppLocker provides simple, powerful, rule-based structures for specifying which applications can run that are centrally managed using Group Policy. This will come handy when you are required to share your systems with others and don’t want them to use your software or else you don’t want to run unauthorised software in your system.

Using this you can block other users to access Executables, Windows Installers, Scripts, a specific publisher or path.

For acesseing it fire up group policy editor (start->type gpedit.msc and press enter)

Now go to Computer configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Application Control Policies -> AppLocker.

Right click on one of the options (Executables, Installers, or Script) and create a new rule.

Control your PC using parental controls.

ü  Set limits on the hours that your children can use the computer,

ü  The types of games they can play, And the programs they can run.

ü  Access it from :-

Backup your data using windows bakup.

To access it go to Control Panel->System and Security->Backup and Restore.

ü  Just click on setup backup to start with.

ü  Once you set up a backup, Windows 7 keeps track of the files and folders that are new or modified and adds them to your backup.

ü  You can back up files to an external hard drive, your network, or a DVD.

ü  To restore just click on select another backup to restore files from.

ü  You can also make a system image and a system image disc in windows 7 just press on the left side options found in above screen shot in your system.
