TDS Return descripancy

Hello Sir,

Please go through the below problem:

Compnay "A" has filed TDS return for 1st Qtr of F.Y. 08-09 within due period. But wrongly choosen Qtr 4th in the return instead Qtr 1st.  However company has filed revised return on the same day with correct information.

Over period of year company has filed TDS return for 4th Qtr of F.Y.08-09 for which the company came to know that revised return for 1st Qtr and fresh return for 4th Qtr has been rejected.

Hence the deductee received credit against 1st Qtr (wrong qtr for 4) but can not received credit against fresh return of 4th quarter as they got an e-mail from IT department regarding the same.

Requesting you to please advice.

The First Return Filled actually for Q-1, wronglly for Q-4, has been Considered for Q-4 by IT Deo. Than you filled Revised return for Q-1 (The Original for which was never been filled). Insted of this you should have revised return fore Q-4 and Filled Original for Q-1. Now you can correct it by filling revised Return for both Q-1 and Q-4.

RAJESH IS VERY MUCH RIGHT,DEAR RAJ KUMAR YOU SIMPLY GO WITH REVISING BOTH RETURNS WHICH HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED OK BY NSDL. IF A RETURN GETS REJECTED THAN IT MEANS IT HAS NEVER BEEN FILED, SO THERE IS REQUIRED ORIGINAL TO BE FILED.   IF WE SEE THE PENAL PROVISIONS RISK--THEN THE BACKGROUND OF MATTER AND THE TIMELY ATTEMPT TO REVISE THE WRONGLY FILED FIRST Q4 RETUN,  --ARE POSITIVE POINTS WHICH WILL HELP IN AVOIDING ANY FINES OR PENALITIES.   MOREOVER FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION PRACTICALLY THE TDS DEPTT ARE STILL NOT MUCH EFFECTIVE IN PENALISING AND SENDING PENAL NOTICES, REASON BEING THAT THEY KNOW THEIR OWN SYSTEMS ARE STILL IN DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE.

Before giving answer to the case raised by you

At first you are saying that the qtr-1 return is filing on due date that is before 15-july 2008

For filing the return electronically how the NSDL centres will accept the return for the future date viz., Quarter 4

so conclude me is there any possiblity to file a future date return with Current date?

And how NSDL will accept the return?

Hello Sir,

i have some question on TDS e-filling. I have revived TDS File for a company . but in NSDL its showing Rejected what should i do. because creditors are asking that in 26AS their name are not refelted.
