Whether TDS to be deduct on transportation charges or not. Pls clarify.

Transportation of goods/passangers has been clarified to be falling under section 194C.

If PAN is mentioned in his Bill or GR there is no need to deduct TDS
if not then deduct @ 20%
moreover details of transporters along with payments are required to be furnished in TDS return
