TDS on Salary

I am an employee as my employer is deducting Income Tax from my salary every month I don't know whether he is paying or not. I want to know if he does not pay the TDS I am liable to pay it or he is responsible for it.

If your pay slip contains deduction towards TDS then he is responsible for paying it to govt..

Your form -16 which u receive at the end of the year from your employer, will have the challan details of TDS paid by your employer.

GET REGISTERED FOR ONLINE TAX CREDIT WITH INCOMETAXINDIA.GOV.IN. EMPLOYERS ARE REQUIRED TO FILE TDS REDURNS ON QUARTERLY BASIS INCLUDING 24Q(FOR SALARY). WHETHER TAX HAS BEEN PAID CAN BE VIEWED ON QUARTERLY BASIS NOT ON MONTHLY BASIS.

Offcourse You have to pay the Income tax. And you can Force the employer to pay or you are eligible to put a case
