Tax Audit date need not be extended. Instead the date for filing GSTR2 may be extended as it is already running late.

Yes, it should be extended as there were a number of festival holidays during this month apart from the fact that GST has taken and is taking a lot of time, TDS return filing date is also due by the end of this month and a lot more.

WHEREAS A LOT OF TIME HAS BEEN CONSUMED LAST 2-3 MONTHS IN CONSULTING AND IMPLEMENTING THE GST ISSUES. IN OCTOBER, A NUMBER OF TASKS HAVE PILED UP. MOREOVER THE AUDIT REQUIRES 100% BRAIN WORK. IT'S NOT MECHNICAL NOR IT CAN BE CONDUCTED THROUGH ANY SOFTWARE. TO CONDUCT THE AUDIT IN A REASONABLY PROPER MANNER, SOME MORE TIME IS REQUIRED. शीघ्रता को भी समय की आवश्यकता होती है.
THE GOVT. UNDERSTANDS THAT GST COMPLIANCE SHOULD BE MADE WITH PATIENCE AND PERFECTION HENCE THE GOVT. HAS EXTENDED DUE DATE FOR TRAN-1. THEN WHY NOT THE EXTENSION FOR TAR.
YESTERDAY ONLY, I.E., ON 26TH OCTOBER, AUDIT AND ITR FORMS REVISED BY CBDT. THIS HAS GIVEN ITSELF GIVEN RISE TO THE NEED OF EXTENSION OF DUE DATE THEN WHY NOT THE GOVT. IMMEDIATELY EXTENDS THE DUE DATE FOR TAR AND TAX AUDIT CASES ITR. ISN'T THE GOVT. OVER PREJUDICED TO THE CA COMMUNITY ? WHICH IS THE CA COMMUNITY IS BEING SCREWED IN ALL THE WAYS POSSIBLE FIRST AND THEN LAST MOMENT EXTENTION IS GRANTED.
IT'S GOOD THAT A VOICE IS RAISED ON THE PLATEFORM OF CACLUBINDIA. THANKS FOR THAT !!!

GST compliance has made it difficult for us to proceed with tax audit closures. It should be extended definitely.

Yes of course.. in the initial months (i.e.july & aug) of GST launch senior audit persons are busy in learning gst procedures and educating the juniors.. not junior audit persons are busy in filing gst returns like gstr1 & 2 and they are unavailable for helping the senior auditors in filing tax audit return.. atl least one month period extension will help a lot to reduce the stress of the tax professionals..

Yes, needs to be extendd to Nov 30th
. TDS return deadline, GST deadline, new responsibilities cast on us by ICDS, cash deposits during demonetisation, scrutiny hearings, all of these are definitely preventing us from being bale to meet this deadline.
