yes it should be extended as demonetisation period data to be verified very carefully before audit, so date for tax audit must be extended

GST due dates, C Form due dates, losses due to (1) demonetization dull sales (only for genuine parties, I know), (2) GST to sales negative impact, (3) reduction in sales due to general fear existing in customer minds, etc. etc. So many loss returns this year came up for filing. Lack of accountants due to post GST accounting boom also is a major concern which should not be neglected.

Data for filing returns have only started to come up.

Yes. Our clients are tied up with GST issues and have little or no time to furnish particlars required  for tax audit. CAs assisting them are also similarly tied up. the manpower involved in GST issues and filing is disproportionate to  the tax and is compounded by site related issues. The stress with the present timelines is also creating health problems.

Yes it's need of the hour as it has become difficult to handle all compliances in the same month. And this month was festive season then tride our level best to do compliances. Even articles are on leave for exams. Difficult and lot of pressure to do work which affects the quality of tax audit. Cbdt should make urgent attention to problems faced due to gst and extend the due dates on urgent basis atleast for 1 month. Hope cbdt and finance ministry take this in positive manner.
